The remote North Yorkshire dale of Swaledale runs from west to east all the way to the town of Richmond. This isolated valley is home to a subtle blend of wildflower meadows, heather covered moors and waterfalls, all set to a dramatic backdrop of hills and mountains. This makes it the perfect subject for landscape photography and many of the images that we capture from this area are truly stunning.
From well travelled walking and cycling trails to more remote, secluded locations, Swaledale offers a wealth of hidden treasures and unique landmarks, as well as views of surrounding dales to the South and East.
Our gallery of images, prints and canvases represent a selection of the best photos taken by our local landscape photographer Laurie Smithies and showcase this beautiful area through the lens of our own unique perspective.
