Goathland Station – Late Summer

I’m very doubtful that there are more picturesque train stations anywhere in the world; than on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway line. Goathland Station may have more affection for it than any other. Known to millions from the hugely popular ITV series Heartbeat as Aidensfield Station, but more famous across the World; and to Harry Potter fans inparticular as Hogsmeade Station. In the Harry Potter And The Philosophers Stone Harry is met here off the Hogwarts Express by Hagrid before taking the boats across the Black Lake to Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft And Wizardry.  Fantasy aside the actual train journey is just as stunning!; when traveling from Whitby to Pickering.  Starting in the Esk Valley and heading onto the Moors taking in to the historic Grosmont Station; and Lavisham.
