Kisdon Hill, Swaledale
A stunning early autumn scene from the Yorkshire Dales. Looking down the valley and slopes of Kisdon Hill towards Thwaite in upper Swaledale. Not surprisingly, this valley is extremely popular for Yorkshire Dales landscape photography. The area also attracts tourists who take the walk from Keld past Crackpot Hall and on to Muker, taking in some fantastic waterfalls on the River Swale like Kisdon Force and East Gill along the way. One of the main characteristics of Swaledale is the lush green fields separated by endless dry stone walls with the stone barns or Laithes dotted around the hill sides.
