Roseberry Topping Autumn Sunset

A stunning Roseberry Topping Autumn Sunset. With her distinctive conical shaped summit combined with a jagged cliff, is situated close to the villages of Great Ayton and Newton under Roseberry in the North Yorks Moors National Park. It was at one time erroneously thought to be the highest hill in North Yorkshire, standing at 320 metres; this title actually belonging to nearby Urra Moor which is approximately 450 metres at its highest point. For many years Roseberry Topping was privately owned, but is now, fortunately, managed by the National Trust and therefore can be enjoyed by everyone. For those with the ability and the energy to climb to the top of the hill, the reward is the beautiful, breathtaking views that can be experienced and enjoyed.
