Whitby Sisters Sunrise
A lone wave destined for the shore line of Whitby begins to break, spray is illuminated by the warm rays of light from the rising sun and Saltwick Nab (known locally as the ‘Sisters’) is silhouetted against a warm backdrop. Captured on a winter’s morning from the West pier, Whitby. This rugged coast line known as the Jurassic Coast runs from Saltburn near Tees-mouth to Flamborough and is rich is fossils such as Ammonites and Belemnites.
It is not just fossil hunters this coast attracts, tourist stay in the campsites and hotels along the Yorkshire Coast and visit the many romantic fishing villages built in to the jagged coast line, such as the Staithes, Runswick Bay and Robin Hoods Bay.
