Staithes Harbour Nighttime
A sleepy scene on the Yorkshire coast, Staithes Harbour nighttime is lit by the street lights that shines over the beck and harbour. Leaving Staithes and heading for Whitby; he joined the merchant navy and then The Royal Navy. Rising threw the ranks he was given command of a ship of the kings fleet; leading expeditions to the Pacific Ocean. In doing so Captain Cook discovered New Zealand, Australia and Hawaii.
But its not just the Captain Cook connection that brings visitors to Staithes; the Staithes cottages are recognised all over the world. The villages of Runswick Bay and Robin Hoods Bay to the south are very similar; with charming cottages built into the cliff side.
The are also a few massive annual events held now; The Staithes festival of Arts and Heritage and the Lifeboat Weekend bring in crowds in there Thousands. The Cleveland Way also cuts threw the village and over the Roxby Beck; to the Fictional home of Old Jack from the TV series. Staithes Yorkshires famous little fishing village also has plenty of accommodation in the form of holiday cottages and Inns. Been within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and Proximity to Whitby; only adds to the appeal of a anyone wishing to visit Staithes.
