Staithes Panoramic From Cowbar
A cold winters morning at Staithes on the Yorkshire Coast. An unusual view if this little fishing village; with the warming colours of sunrise out to sea contrasting with the hill tops of Roxby covered with snow. Famous for its association with Captain Cook; Staithes now has a booming tourist industry like many of the villages on this coast. It has become increasingly popular for filming; with Old Jacks Boat been filmed a stones throw from here at 4 Cowbar Bank. Tourists are also come to see the Staithes cottages buried into the hill side; separated by cobbled roads. Staithes harbour adds to the charm of the village; and Yorkshire cobbles are brought right up the Roxby Beck and moored under the bridge.
