Saltwick Bay Whitby
Sunrise over Saltwick Bay and Black Nab just south of the fishing port of Whitby. A fascinating place and a magnet for photographers. A rare location in the sense that at certain times of the year it captures both the sunset and sunrise out over the sea. This is also a pleasant tourist destination with visitors coming from the local caravan parks in Whitby. Saltwich Bay is usually a lot quieter than the bigger Whitby Beach for those who may just want to relax by the sea.
Sadly this bay also contains the wreck of admiral Von Tromp that sank here in 1976 with the loss of two Fishermen.
