North Bay Sunrise Scarborough Bay Sunrise
A beautiful sunny morning at North Bay, standing guard over the bay is the iconic symbol for the area, the magnificent Scarborough Castle. The site of the castle has been an iron Age settlement, a Roman signal station and in the 11th century construction began on what you see today. The castle has been added to over the centuries and has withstood the test of time, surviving civil war sieges and even attacks from German warships. Today it is a tourist attraction run by English Heritage. The castle and the panoramic views of the Yorkshire coastline that can be seen from it are a must see for anybody visiting the town.
